Vol. I: Sea-Birds and Waders; (1947) Vol. 2: Birds of Prey and Waterfowl (1951); Vol. 3: Rails, Game-Birds, Perching and Singing Birds (1955). 'The three books in Pelican series are not really recognition books, but a most useful addition to bird literature' (Tate). A number of innovative features introduced here by a founding father of twentieth century ornithology are now standard techniques. COMPLETE SETS ARE SCARCE IN THIS CONDITION.
