A letter to author and publisher Maurice Delamain in which Noël discusses Delamain's "Plaidoyer pour les mots", a linguistics book researching the connection of phonetics and semantics. Noël remarks: "Très jeune, j'avais déja remarqué dans les vocables de mon pays (le Franche-Cômté jurassienne) qui sont aussi d'une partie de la Suisse Romande et Ramey en a usé dans ses livres a quel point les mots peuvent avoir une correspondance physiologique étroite avec les choses et presentés une suite d'harmonie imitiativé!". - Noël was a French writer and journalist who served as war correspondent for the French newspaper "Figaro" in 1940.
