To the writer and playwright Jean-Baptiste-Charles Vial (1771-1837), employed at the Ministry of Finances, expressing interest in a business matter: "J'ai passé plusieurs fois chez Vous avant mon départ pour avoir pu vous rencontrer, j'avais cependant encore beaucoup de choses à Vous communiquer relativement à Votre grande affaire, à laquelle je m'intéresse beaucoup, et sans laquelle Vous savez que Vous m'avez promit un petit intérêt, c'est ce que je voulais aussi Vous rappeler [.]". - A small tear at the corner of the counter-leaf due to opening of the letter; ink stains; slight foxing and duststaining; small marginal defects and tears throughout.
