Edizione: scarce autograph letter signed from stanley and concerning his review of a submitted manuscript. stanley writes: dear sir. i beg to return you your m.s.s. with a few trifling alterations, and i hope i have not misused the liberty you were so good as to give me. with regard to your other request. i can promise you to exert all the interest that i can command with my friends, to extend its sale, not only for the esteem which i have personally for you , but because of the conviction that yours is a book which will be valuable to a library. with best regards, i am yours sincerely henry m. stanley
