This is a fine hardcover copy, privately bound, of a number of pamphlets and catalogs written by Emanuel Winternitz, the first curator of the Department of Musical Instruments at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. There is a table of contents which lists 17 different small papers or pamphlets on a variety of musical subjects, most published in the 1940's and 1960's. The most recent publication date is 1961.
