Contemporary green half linen over ,marbled boards. Spine with gilt title. Brown endpapers. = A seminal paper on free-swimming tunicates and their anatomy, by the Danish zoologist Daniel Frederik Eschricht (1798-1863). The first plate IV is a stipple-engraving, bringing out the external morphology; the second plate IV is a line drawing of the same, with letters indicating anatomical features. Published in the series, Forhandlinger, of the Danish Royal Academy of Sciences. Small old stamp erased from title; some toning to a few plates, othgerwise very good.
