This is an almost very good hardcover copy in the original glazed illustrated boards. Short split to the spine edge repaired long ago. Very clean inside and out, but some foxing to endpapers. Text in PORTUGUESE only. This is a collection of old photographs of Rio de Janeiro, showing how the city took shape and documenting it's development through the 19th and 20th centuries. Illustrated throughout with black & white photographs and color sketches like maps showing the coastline of Rio and how it developed. Selected bibliography. 9" high X 11" wide, 90 pages.
