This catalog was prepared to accompany the exhibition at the Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro in August through September 2000. Catalogue edited by Carlos Martins, with contributions by a dozen curators and authors including Sandra Regina Caleffi, Aline Carrer, Anna Maria F. Monteiro de Carvalho, Luiz Paulo Horta, Maria Pace Chiavari, Silvia Maria Kutchma, Tunico Amancio, and Vera Beatriz Siqueira among others. Massive survey of Rio de Janeiro, revealed through old photographs, posters, broadsides, film stills, printed ephemera, etc. Checklist with 1159 works catalogued.
