Oblong 4to (25.3 x 32.1 cm). xii, 149 pp.; one plain plate, 34 full colour plates all after the watercolours of the author, map, 59 text figures (mostly with multiple images and page-sized). Original full cloth with gilt ornaments and title on the front board. = Fine, richly illustrated atlas of the marine fishes of Sri-Lanka. Especially the text illustrations are of a high quality. The whole work is not only a colourful atlas but also a fine scientific monograph with clear keys and illustrations of taxonomically important characters. Bookplate on the front pastedown, otherwise a very good, clean copy. Nissen ZBI, 1084.
