Albumen carte-de-visite photograph (1860s) of the Dean of Canterbury from 1857 to 1871. Alford is depicted in half figure sitting on a chair in three-quarters. Photographed in the studio of Henry Maull (1829-1914) and George Henry Polyblank (1828 -), active in London between 1856 and 1865. Marked on the back “Maull & Polyblank Photographers”.
