Albumen carte-de-visite photograph (1870s) of the 11th Earl of Home, Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs (1828-1830) under the Duke of Wellington. Douglas-Home is depicted from waist up in three quarters, holding his gloves in his hands. Photographed in the studio of William (1829-1915) and Daniel (1831-1881) Downey’s studio, active in Newcastle from 1863. “W.D. Downey Photographers”.
